What is required is SURRENDER, which is
simply the letting go of the wish for the world to be as you think it should
be. When your wish for each moment is for it to be exactly as it is, you
will notice that you and the River are One.

The River
The river of life is like the unaimed
arrow, it never misses. It always follows the right path. All
of us in its current will wind up exactly where the river takes us. If we think
the river should go in another direction, we are destined to struggle in a
hopeless attempt to direct its flow. The result is terror, hopelessness,
depression, lack of faith and lack of peace.

"There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart, and they will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of The river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water. See who is in there with you and celebrate.
