True Love

The concept of love is so completely misunderstood that what is called love in everyday life bears little or no resemblance to it.  True love is not personal or special.  It is not offered to some and not to others. It is unconditional.  It is a level of being impossible for the ego to attain because the ego is only concerned with what it can get, and love is only concerned with what it can give.

For a human being to achieve the ability to truly love is one of the rarest and most sacred attainments in this world.  Perhaps it’s time for us to stop acting as if we already have achieved this ultimate gift and work instead on owning and exploring our blocks to the awareness of love’s presence.  Love is the end point of the dissolution of ego. It is what we are working for.   Let’s stop pretending that we have already arrived.
